This is a seed germinating, looking around in the dirt at his sterile and damaged
cohorts. He makes it to the cruel surface, only to be burned by the sun, plucked
by a bird and dropped somewhere else. The writer did a very good job of making
this experience dreamlike (at first I thought it was a story about a man's nightmare).
I think there are psychological levels to this story to be found, though I will
have to read it again. Thank you for posting this story. | |
